Well what can I say...it has been a crazy few months! We had a great Easter and it was so fun playing the Easter bunny for EmmaLyn. She didn't really understand it of course but she loved what she got. Then in the end of April we closed on our house! YAY! Everything from that point moving forward has been a blur! We have repainted just about every wall in our house and spent every waking moment on it. It has been so fun to have our own house again! We have a 9000 sq ft yard and that is just the front yard so that has kept us EXTREMELY busy! We have a chicken coup in back so yes I sherice mills got some chickens! We tore down a barn that has been there for years and years and are planning to make that a little play area in the back for EmmaLyn. Like I said...we have been busy! We are loving living in Snowflake and are adjusting to our new life out of the city! EmmaLyn is getting so big and she turns 1 on Wednesday! I can't believe it! She took her first steps on the 4th of July but still isn't walking. She is just taking little steps here and there. She still doesn't have any teeth but loves to eat grown up food and refuses baby food. She is not a picky eater at all and I am so glad! She weighs about 15 lbs and is REALLY long! 90% for height and 1% for weight. She is full of energy and keeps me super busy! I can finally put her hair into pigtails and I think its just about the cutest thing I've ever seen (although I am pretty bias). For my birthday/anniversary present in June Scott took me away to Prescott and we left EmmaLyn for the first time with grandma! It was a nice getaway and she did great! I had never been to Prescott or the Grand Canyon so Scott decided it'd be a good weekend trip and it was! We had a blast! We rode a tandum bicycle to breakfast one morning on main roads which was scary at first but we got the hang of it and we were riding like champs! It was a great weekend. We had an awesome 4th of July. My brother Jaron and his family all came up and our friends from the valley came and stayed with us. It was so much fun! Well I think thats about all I have to say....grab your popcorn because there might be a lot of pictures!

We went to the valley this weekend and it was Beautiful! I painted EmmaLyn's toenails before we went so she could wear her cute little sandals and she would just peak over the edge of the high chair to watch! She loves having her toes painted and she just stares at them when I'm all finished! On Friday night we went to cheesecake factory after the mall kicked us out and EmmaLyn has started giving "Big cheeseys!" She has been doing this a lot lately and I LOVE IT! She looks at me, tilts her head back a little bit, raises her eyebrows, and gives me the cheesiest smile she can muster! It is so funny and she had us cracking up the whole time! I caught a picture of one, but whenever the camera comes out she doesn't do it as good! All in all it was a QUICK but super fun weekend!

This past weekend we went down to the Valley for my cousin Tylers homecoming. Scott and I bought appliances on Friday night for our NEW HOUSE, then Saturday we went to the zoo with Jaron and Bethany, Mom and Dad, Lacie, and my friend Amy came too! It was so nice to be outside in such beautiful weather! On Sunday after Tylers talk we headed over to my Aunt and Uncles and had lunch, ate outside, visited while EmmaLyn strolled around in the grass, and I took some pictures of her. EmmaLyn has such a STRONG personality! In other words she is stubborn! She knows what she wants and if she doesn't get it be prepared for a huge tantrum. I didn't know 8 month olds even knew how to throw a tantrum like that. I'm talking crying, then screaming, throwing herself on the ground and there are no signs of stopping once she has started! I love how much she is growing and learning. She can clap, crawl, sit up, smile when the camera is put in front of her, show off in a crowd full of people, laugh, she talks a lot and on rare occasions she will say momma, eats anything and everything off the ground, she loves graham crackers, applesauce, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, pears, and anything else she can get a taste of EXCEPT formula! Like I said she is stubborn and does not want formula or anything to do with a bottle! She still doesn't have any teeth but she sure can gum things and I am nervous the entire time. She likes munching on strawberries, bananas, pizza crust (thanks to her dad!) cucumbers, carrots and anything else we give her! She is so much fun and I love that we can teach her things such as patty cake and high fives and she knows just what to do! She is about 13 lb and 27 in long. No doubt she is going to be tall and skinny! She wears 0-3 month clothes and most the pants are still to big in the waist. She eats all the time though so I know she's healthy! We love having her in our lives and I can't imagine doing anything else but playing and cuddling with my little baby EmmaLyn!

EmmaLyn turned 6 months on January 13 and got her very first ear infection along with it. These were the only pictures I could get of her half happy that day!

Scott turned 26 on January 17! We had a little party for Scott with our families and our good friend Amy was also there visiting us from the valley. We got him his very own set of golf clubs so we can go more often and he won't have to use my dads anymore! I made him a homemade ice cream oreo cake and it was SO yummy! I want it EVERYDAY! They don't make boxes of candles with 26 in them so we tried making an S. Turned out kinda bad but all in all it was a fun night!

Yes. I painted my 6 month old toes! And I just cannot get enough of the cuteness!! I love them!

Having EmmaLyn has sure taught me patience and also to appreciate the small things in life! She is such a blessing in our lives! We love having her around and I love the she is learning new things everyday! It is so fun to be able to play with her and she loves my singing despite how terrible I truly sound!!! I just love being a mom and a wife and I wouldn't have my life any other way!

Christmas 2010

Christmas was so fun this year!! We had the whole family together at my parents house and they all stayed a week! We stayed up late every night playing games and just having fun! It was sad to have them all go home. We are so blessed to have such an awesome family full of fun and love!! EmmaLyn of course got spoiled and my husband sure spoiled me! I got a BOB jogging stroller and a new camera! Looks like I'm going to have to pick up running again when the snow melts....not sure how I feel about that. :) I will also be taking a lot more pictures and I will try and keep up on my blogging this year but no promises. My parents also got Scott and I a flip video camera which I am so excited about seeing as EmmaLyn is growing fast and learning new things everyday! EmmaLyn fell asleep after opening one present and I got my camera right after she fell asleep so thats where the pictures will start. During the week that my brothers were here we went bowling, played in the snow, and played a lot of games! It was a lot of fun!

The first weekend in October We took EmmaLyn to the corn maze! We went with Scotts sister Michelle and Brian and their kids. As you can tell EmmaLyn was really enjoying it!

Disneyland and turning 3 months!

Then we took her to Disneyland on her 3 month birthday! We went with Scotts sister Michelle and her family and also my sister Lacie came with us! It was such a blast and I can't wait to take EmmaLyn when she will actually know whats going on. She loved all the rides we took her on and didn't cry on any of them! In fact she was crying before we took her on the tea cups (don't worry we didn't spin) and when they started she stopped crying and started smiling again until they were over! I also made her a little Minnie Mouse outfit since it was close to Halloween and she got her picture taken with Minnie! It was so much fun!

The Beach

We went to the Beach. It was really really cold and EmmaLyn didn't really like being there. Her and Dad chased some birds for a while, she cried for a while, and then she fell asleep for a while.

We got home from Disneyland on Tuesday and headed back down to the valley on Friday for my Grandpas birthday, the Phoenix Suns game, and to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas at Gammage.

Reece's Pieces and Craft Fair

I have started my own little business called Reece's Pieces. (Check out my blog shericespieces.blogspot.com or I have a button on this one you can click on.) If you like my stuff be sure to spread the word! I love making things and I love that people like them as well! It is so much fun and it's my "me" time! I did a craft fair this past weekend and it went AWESOME! I did better then I could've ever imagined and I got a lot of custom orders which really are my favorites! 5 months

I can't believe it this is my last post....AND my baby is now 5 months old. She weighs 11 pounds and is 26 inches long. She is still wearing some newborn clothes and some 0-3 month clothes (but the pants are all super baggy on her teeny tiny legs, that she did not get from her mom!) She just looked so big on Monday as I was taking a few pictures of her! I just love her so much and she brings so much fun and joy into my life! What a blessing she truly is! Btw I took these with my phone so the quality is not good! Sorry!

What we've been up to

Well it's been crazy trying to get all packed and moved but its over now so I have a moment to sit down and relax and catch everyone up on our lives! I've been kind of stressed out lately and it's crazy how many emotions come to the surface that I've been ignoring. Thoughts of my new body, and sadness of leaving a house that I've turned into our home, getting rid of clothes that I have become "attached" to (sounds funny but I seriously cried for about an hour), and just thoughts of how quickly my life has changed. It has been a good change but just so fast! I have lived and worked in Mesa for 3 years, got married a year ago, got pregnant 3 months later, had my baby in July and all of a sudden we decided to up and move about a month ago! I've never been good with change but I'm learning a lot from all of it going on! I've learned that my husband will love me even if I don't have the same body I did prior to being pregnant, and I need to learn to just love myself. I had a baby 3 months ago and everyday when I look at her I know that what it did to me was worth it and I would do it a million times over to have her in my life! She is so important to me and much more important then looking "skinny"! I love my house in Queen Creek and over the past year I have worked to make it our home and we have become so comfortable there. I loved everything about our house and I was trying to think of some way to just pack it up along with all our things and bring it with us! Scott then reminded me that we can make home anywhere and it will be even better being up in the mountains! And of course he was right! Now last are my clothes. I admitted to Scott that I think I am a clothes horder. I love my clothes...even the ones that are 3 years old, even the ones that I never wear! I find comfort in clothes and shoes. I find happiness in them. I realize that clothes are just so temporary! I had a period where I wore short shorts and I loved them! Giving them up was really hard for me but I now see that giving up little things like that (including my body) will lead to MORE happiness then we can ever know in the long run! I'm crazy I know! But I have such an awesome husband who helps me realize everything will be ok when I freak out over and over again! Thanks Scott...I love you! The big news!

Well we have decided to move up to Pinetop/Snowflake (wherever we can find a house.) We are so excited to be back "home"! Scott is going to be buying his parents flooring store (High Country Flooring) and is working on some other things as well. We feel like this is what we should do and where we need to be! We will be moving up in October....SO SOON! So we are frantically house hunting if anyone knows of anything. Once again we are just so excited to be close to our parents and a few of Scotts siblings! I am very excited to play in all the volleyball leagues up here and I can't wait for them to start!! And that is our big news!

The bottom Pictures are her first trip to Snowflake for the 24th of July Celebrations. She slept through the entire parade even with the loud sirens going off! She's such a good baby. The middle pictures are of her bath time. We give her a bath every night around the same time to try and help get her on a schedule. She loves her bath and never cries! The top pictures are her first trip to church. We got her a super cute dress at Macy's and I couldn't help but take more pictures of her! She loves having her head rubbed just like her Mom and she was making the funniest faces when Scott was rubbing her head! I just can't get enough of this little BEAUTIFUL girl!

Baby EmmaLyn Born 7/13/2010

Well I finally had my sweet little precious baby EmmaLyn! We went to the hospital on July 13 at 3:00 Pm. They gave me my epidural right away because I was already dialated to a 6 and started me on the platocin. At about 9:15 the Dr came and broke my water then said he thought it would be about midnight before I would have her. So he headed home to change and do a few things then said he would be back. The nurse came in around 9:45 to find that I had already dialated to a 10! She quickly called the Dr to tell him he better get back because my contractions were getting stronger and I needed to start pushing. After about 30 pushes and with the Dr there EmmaLyn came into this world at 10:25! She weighed 6 lb 2 oz and was 21 in long. What a quick and easy delivery it was! I am so happy to have her here and that I am now a mom to a beautiful healthy baby girl! Its still so unreal sometimes but I just love everything about her! She sleeps through the night and I have to wake her up to feed her, she hardly ever cries and she is just so easy to love! Scott is such a good daddy and we love this little angel!

I am headed to the hospital today to have my little baby Emmalyn! I'm so excited to meet her and hold her! I'm dialated to a 6 already so hopefully labor will go well! Here are a few pictures of her nursery and of my gigantic belly...Just for you Francie and Tiffany!

37 week update

I went to the hospital on Sunday due to some bleeding. Everything is ok but they advised me that I am already dilated to a 3 and 70% effaced! They sent me home And yesterday contractions started coming stronger and more often. Nothing to go to the hospital for yet but I really wonder if this baby is going to come early or if I'm going to be like this for 3 more weeks! It is all becoming more real to me now and I can't wait to hold my little baby! We packed our bags just in case and I am having someone come clean my house to get it all ready for little EmmaLyn. I am so excited to meet her and I can't believe it's so close! I'm so excited to be a mommy and Scott is going to be a great dad! He has been so supportive through my pregnancy with me throwing up everyday for 37 weeks and my large growing belly! I couldn't imagine my life without him!

3rd trimester!

Yea! I've hit 28 weeks and I couldn't be more excited!! I can't believe I only have 12 weeks left and then my little girl will be here! I can't wait to meet her and I'm getting very anxious! Some days I just cry (mostly because my hormones are all out of sorts) but also because I just want her here! I love feeling her little feet kick me, and her arms, and her hiccups, and when she does full flips in me and all the other little movements she makes! I think it's the greatest feeling in the whole world and I'm already so attached to her! People probably think I'm crazy because I am always touching my belly and rubbing it thinking that she can feel me! I can't wait to be a mom and I hope I can fill the role as good as my mom always has! I hope that my little girl with have the same trust and love and friendship that I have with my mom. I have been so blessed with such a great mom and I just hope I can do as good of a job raising my little EmmaLyn! We had another ultrasound at 26 weeks so here are a few pictures from that! In the video on the bottom you can see Emma's tongue moving all over the place.

This was EmmaLyn at 22 weeks. We are now 25 weeks along so I'm a little behind on the blog but here she is! I just love this little girl so much and she kicks all day long! I'm so glad I can feel her so good now I love it! She has just started to get the hiccups and it's a fun feeling! I'm still sick but it's so worth it! We are so excited for her to come and I only have about 15 weeks left!!!

It's a Girl!

We went to the ultra sound on Friday and the baby was NOT cooperating! She was totally asleep and laying on her stomach with her hands tucked underneath her. We were there for about half an hour with no gender and finally Michelle (the ultra sound tech) said that we would have to come back because she was not cooperating. She said she would try one more time for the gender and we barely got to see that it was a GIRL! We didn't get any good pictures so she said I would get some when we go back in 2 weeks and then I will post them on here!

18 weeks

I am now 18 weeks! I will found out if it is a boy or a girl on March 12th and I can't wait! I am still pretty sick in the morning but so grateful I can actually keep food down and enjoy life a little again! I am starting to get a belly and I feel big but my husband is so nice and just says its not big its our baby, Its supposed to be there! He has been so good and supportive through this whole thing! I keep having really weird dreams but I suppose that is normal and as long as they are just dreams I can handle it! But the day they start taking your baby out to let you see it at 18 weeks and then putting it back in you I'm done having kids! As far as me thinking whether its a boy or a girl I'm unsure. I have dreams of both all the time but I am starting to be convinced its a boy even though my mom and I have both already bought a few girl outfits. Everyone at work and our friends all think its a girl so we'll see! I just want to find out so I can start decorating! I have everything picked out I just need to get it all ordered and get to work painting and getting the room together! Anyways here is a picture and I will update in 2 weeks as soon as we find out!!

8 weeks and counting

I'm PREGNANT! We found out we are going to have a baby the week before thanksgiving and we decided we weren't going to tell our families until Thanksgiving! It was so hard to not tell my mom, and everytime I talked to her on the phone I had to quickly hang up so I wouldn't let the secret out. My mom, dad and Lacie came down to mesa for thanksgiving so we decided to tell them when they got here the night before. I made a big dinner for them and invited my siblings over for dessert to tell them too. We made shirts that had both our baby pictures on them with the words "is it a boy?" on Scotts and "is it a girl?" on mine. The anticipation was killing me and I couldn't wait until they arrived. Lacie walked in first and just kind of looked at me like why are you wearing that, but when my mom saw it she got it right away and couldn't believe it! We weren't planning on having a little one for about 2 years but SUPRISE! I have been extremely sick and whoever called it morning sickness was lucky thats all they had. I haven't been able to keep anything down for about 3 weeks now and Scott has been so good and supportive when I just cry because thats all I can do! I am now 8 1/2 weeks and I am hoping that by week 12 or 14 I will begin to feel better. I have had a few scares with bleeding but luckily the little baby is still there and it has a healthy heart beat! I have had 3 ultrasounds already just to make sure everything is okay and my doctor has been so awesome! At my last appointment which was last Friday I was so nervous as she got ready to do the ultra sound because I just knew that I no longer had a baby because of all my bleeding. I had cried and cried the whole night before and I didn't know what I would do if my baby was gone. When she found the baby and the heart beat I was so excited and felt so blessed! I gave the ultra sound lady a huge hug just from reaction and she was so nice and hugged me back instead of calling me crazy or weird or something! I was just so happy to see the little gummy bear and its heart beat! Anyways, Scott and I are both so excited to be parents and start our family together! When we moved in I told Scott about my ideas for our house. We worked hard for about the first 3 weeks and got a little burnt out. So I decided that I need to get started again. Yesterday after some trips to Home Depot, the fabric store, and a few other stops I finished my window dressings! I thought they turned out pretty good considering I made it all up and had no clue what I was doing! There are a million more things to be done but hey we're moving along!!

We woke up early Monday morning and headed to Cali!

I have so much to blog about! Scott and I got married on June 20 and it was such a fun day! We took pictures the day before and the weather was perfect with zero wind! We were married at 11:00 the next day and it was so amazing! I have never been so happy! We then went to a luncheon, and had the reception that night! Scott and I have been dating for 8 months and I was giving up hope that he wanted to marry me! He had some tricks up his sleeve and gave me a big surprise on Friday March 20! He finally popped the question...with a ring pop! I thought he was being serious because he just sat there trying to get me to take the ring pop but finally put the real rock on my finger! I couldn't be happier! I am marrying my best friend and I am so excited to be married in the temple! What a blessing it's been to have him in my life and by my side! He came at the perfect moment when I needed him most and he has helped me to become a more happy and better me! I love him with all my heart...and as you can tell from my ring he spoils me! I am so excited to spend eternity with my knight in shining armor! I love you Scotty Boy!

Our day at Freestone

Scott and I took my nephew Maddock to Freestone Park on Friday to help out my sister in law and we had a blast! He is the cutest boy ever! We fed the ducks and he did really good this time...he didn't eat all the bread, we rode the train...twice, played on the play ground and chased after ducks! He was so funny and the whole time we were there he just kept saying "alright!" while throwing his fist into the air, he was getting so excited so of course I had to take a video of it!

We played games all during thanksgiving break, and then Scotts mom made us some playdough and told us to play with it! It was actually pretty fun and Scott being the sweet boy he is made me the letters ROXY which is my favorite brand! Scott and his dad also took my sister Lacie and I and his two nephews shooting and it was way fun! I hit a few targets and was really excited!

Zoo Lights

Scott, Jaron, Bethany, Maddock and I all went to zoo lights this past week! We touched the sharks and sting rays and my little nephew Maddock would get really scared when one would come by and pull his hand out of the water! Maddock also got to go and sit on Santas lap...he kept cutting in front of the other kids and running up there but once it was his turn and Santa picked him up he started screaming! There weren't really any animals but it was still fun! When we were getting ready to leave we decided to go into the gift shop. While we were in there we saw suckers with different insects in them but we doubted that they were real. We asked the workers and they assured us that they were real and that people really buy them and eat them! Still with the doubt in our minds one of the workers went and grabbed a blueberry sucker with a SCORPION inside! As a crowd gathered round to watch we were all dared to try it and i thought there is no way I'm going to eat that. But as Jaron, Scott and the worker all munched down on it I got some courage and took a piece. All you could taste was the blueberry but the thought of it made me want to yak! Lets just say it was an interesting night at the Phoenix Zoo Gift Shop!

I've finally got my blog up and going thanks to Scotts sisters! I don't know how updated I'll keep it but i sure will try my best! Scott and I have been dating since July and loving every minute of it (no we're not engaged!) We love life and we have a lot of fun with everything we do! I also take a lot of pictures so if I become a serious blogger like the rest of you be ready for all of them!
